Fournet House is only as good as the people who work here who are great characters
in their own right! Believe me they all work very long hours looking after you as
well as we can. We all share the belief that as a result of our years of living,
we have all got something to give back and love handing on our individual strengths
- laced with what we trust are gloriously wise pearls of wisdom.
Alison found that her years and years of successful freelance design, followed by
ten years of running her own business plus consultants plus staff, did not teach
her as much as those spent looking after her father with multi-infarct dementia.
One of her most vital resources was her sense of humour which is as needed in Dufftown
as it ever was - and yes there is a book called ‘William to William’ which she hopes
will help those who equally chose to take that on. She moved to Scotland to buy this
house in 2003 to be able to fulfil what she wanted to do. She was diagnosed with
breast cancer in 2005 and in 2006, Noah’s Ark re-opened while Fournet climbed up
the mountain of planning permissions, rules and regs etc., which needed very skilled
help indeed and now life looks great from the top! Or reasonably near it!
We continue to push back the barriers of what is possible and equally what is the
accepted market here locally in Dufftown. We follow our own hearts and minds, and
our own beliefs, to do what we believe will help you, which has the great additional
and much appreciated reward of helping us also!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Amor Vincit Omnia - we hope
you enjoy your world much more after your visit to Fournet House!
